Career development is an important part of preparing residents for success. It includes job training, career mentorship, and a network of employers who value and will employ our residents.
OUR PROGRAM
Career Development
Our Career Development program started as a pilot project in 2017. The goal of the program is to give the Participants a better chance of progressing well beyond minimum wage levels to fully achieve self-sufficiency. It is a 3 part program which builds on and complements the Transitional program. The plan is that, for those that stay on the job for at least a year, there will be assistance to help them grow in their career to achieve self-sufficiency.
Residents that do not have jobs are required to do volunteer work for Haven House.
